<title>Comments on: TTC PCC 4382 (an A6-class car built by CC&amp;F in 1947-48) heads eastbound on College Street on a Carlton run bound for Danforth &amp; Main, passing the University of Toronto&#8217;s Mining Building (dating from 1905) at the corner of College and Taddle Creek Road. Judging by the lack of automobile and pedestrian traffic, this was likely taken on a Saturday or Sunday downtown. The white building in the background near Spadina is the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry, a modernist concrete office tower designed by John B. Parkin Associates and completed a few years earlier in 1964 (now the home of CAMH College St.). Taddle Creek Road was named after a small stream that used to run through the area (that was buried and turned into an underground creek/sewer). The road formerly ran between College St. and Hoskins through the UofT campus, but was broken up into segments (it became parts of Tower Rd., Hart House Circle, King&#8217;s College Cir.) around when the Medical Sciences Building was built in 1969. A small stub of Taddle Creek Rd. remained as a service road into the early 2000&#8242;s, until the UofT&#8217;s Donnelly Centre was built over it in 2005. Original photographer unknown, Dan Dell&#8217;Unto collection slide.</title>
