	<title>Comments on: TTC PCC 4463 (A7-class, CC&amp;F 1949) sports fresh &#8220;subway red&#8221; paint as it pauses for the light eastbound on King Street West at York Street in downtown Toronto. 

In the background is the busy University Avenue (with a westbound PCC waiting on the light. On the right is the Lord Simcoe Hotel, under demolition by Teperman. The Lord Simcoe opened in 1956 at King &amp; University, but according to sources, it was closed in 1979 due to a lack of convention space and central air conditioning make the hotel uncompetitive. Demolition took place in 1980-81.
