<title>Comments on: TTC PCC 4482 has just passed another PCC as it heads west on Queen Street East past the intersection for Kingston Road, operating on a Rt.501 Queen run enroute to Humber Loop. In the background is the famed Greenwood Raceway, Toronto&#8217;s east end horse racing track that opened in 1874 as the &#8220;Woodbine Race Course&#8221; that stretched along the south side of Queen Street from Greenwood Avenue to Woodbine Avenue. A new track opened in suburban Etobicoke in 1956 as the &#8220;New Woodbine Racetrack&#8221;, until the &#8220;new&#8221; was dropped in 1963, and the old Woodbine site here renamed &#8220;Greenwood Raceway&#8221; after extensive renovations. It was eventually closed in 1993, demolished, and the site redeveloped into residential housing and commercial developments. Joe Testagrose photo, Dan Dell&#8217;Unto collection slide.</title>
