<title>Comments on: TTC PCC 4561 (an A9-class streetcar originally bought by Cincinnati in 1947) heads west in traffic through Midtown Toronto on St. Clair Avenue, operating on a westbound/northbound Rogers Road streetcar bound for Bicknell Loop. The office buildings and highrises around Yonge Street are visible in the background. To the north (left) is the upscale Forest Hill area full of posh housing, the smell of old money, and prominent families of wealth such as the Eatons. The two individuals pictured on the left may have been fellow transit enthusiasts, as this was during a special 3-day series of fantrips held on July 5-6-7th.

Normal routing for the Rogers Road streetcars was between Oakwood Loop (Oakwood/St. Clair) and Bicknell Loop (Rogers/Bicknell), but rush hour cars were extended to the subway and ran along this stretch to/from St. Clair Subway Station on the Yonge line. By the time of this photo, there was less than a month left for the Rogers Road streetcar: operations would end after July 19th 1974 and be replaced with a branch of the Rt.63 Ossington trolleybus route.
