Comments on: Two frames split by a tree. One side of the frame is the huge Hensall district Co-Op, this place is friggin’ huge. On the other side is GEXR 581 departing North with 2 cars lifted from W.G. Thompson’s of Hensall, located just south of the co-op. 581 made a light power move round trip from Stratford to Hensall – for this. There was no other work.

There was a company transloading grain/fertilizer on the main in Exeter around Acheson St and it was for a nearby company. I believe it was for Ondrejicka Elevators. I'm not sure how many boxcars are going to that warehouse.

Definitely lots of potash into Hensall coop in Hensall. A couple weeks artery this shot I saw 15 or so loads into Hensall.

Thompsons gets grain empties to load -saw some in December. I've seen tanks on the south side of the road too at the Thompsons side. Presumably fertilizer related and nitrogen at that given it's in liquid form.

Exeter is a Hensall coop warehouse and that's where the boxcars go. No idea what's in them though.

Thank you - the fact they go 10 MPH only gives you lots of time to think how to compose. Not often you have the luxury of time so I had time to compose until this hit my eye.

Hensall is quite busy right now, I'm informed getting multi dozens of cars of fertilizer at a time. The co-op does rail but I don't know the split between Thompsons and the Co-op. I should also note the line is in service to Exeter - south of there it's out of service (but in place) in case the customer at Centralia decides to commit to rail again.

Good shot Steve, very artistic with that magnificent tree, the row of cut wheat in the foreground, a lot more than just a “train” shot. You have a great eye for composing not just a picture, but creating a story. Does GEXR get any business with the Hensall Co-op ?

Very nice Steve. I think we shot here back in Dec 2016 as well. Much more wintery than this scene though. I recognize the big tree.
