Comments on: Unfortunately I couldn’t find the exact date of this photo but considering it wasn’t long after G&W took over all Former RailAmerica operations I’m guessing February or March 2013. Here we see a pair of leased CEFX GP20D’s most likely waiting to be returned to lessor. While RA liked the units it appears G&W had no interest in them or didn’t wanted to pay out to lease units when it had enough of its own units to go around. It’s seems the GP20’s were not ever a Railfan favourite and most couldn’t wait fir them to leave but personally I thought they were kind of unique units. Today the units are long gone as well as the engine house. SOR operations in Hamilton yard are history too.

Unfortunately this is not my original but a copy I made a while ago and original date doesn’t seem to be attached. I’ll have to search around when I get a chance.

Thanks Joseph. I could possibly be then. I was thinking they were at the shop waiting to be returned but I don’t have any notes on this one.

I think you’re ahead of your guess by a little time wise. No G&W units arrived until 2014 and the GP20D’s didn’t leave until early 2015. It looks like there is still a CN SW behind CEFX 2014 as well, I’d say maybe 2011-2012ish.
