CP had their share of one of kinds, such as

RSD 17

see: 8921

Here, the one of a kind MLW M640 #4744 is paired up with M630 #4501 on a CP Rail extra West leaving Agincourt.

July 1977 Kodachrome by S.Danko

What’s interesting: in the seventies CP Rail sponsored CFL Football and in one TV commercial the 4744 was the star !

In 1984 CP Rail commenced testing 4744 with AC traction motors on A-1-A trucks right through to 1992 retirement.

This is no doubt a London bound train with empty trilevels for the auto plants at Windsor. If I recall, the usual designation at this time for this train was 957 or "makeup 903".
