Comments on: Via #45 accelerates past Port Hope station enroute to Toronto. The Port Hope station was built by Grand Trunk in 1856 using local limestone. CN brought forward a plan to remove the station in 1978 but was convinced by community groups to restore it and continue to use it for passenger service.
