This photo is long ago history bug sadly 6444′s recent history is much sadder as it was involved in a fatal accident almost 20 years later on February 26, 2012 when the 3 crew in the cab were killed near Burlington, Ontario. The train ran through a crossover at a higher than recommeded speed causing the train to derail, and subsequently rolling the unit and train onto it’s side, killing the head-end crew.
