Comments on: VIA 6917 is alive! The Toronto Railway Historical Association’s MLW LRC locomotive has been restored to operational status and has once again hauled sleek LRC coaches over Canadian rails. Although the distance travelled was not great, it was still a milestone moment for the volunteers who have spent countless hours of hard work returning the locomotive to her former glory. 6917 performed exactly as intended and enthusiastically belched the signature black smoke from her ALCO prime mover as she hauled three LRC coaches – including one which has been recently rebuilt!
