Both trains had met at the wye switches on the Thicket Sub. and backed up the line to the station one behind the other. Just one of many unique experiences encountered on my week-long trip from Winnipeg to Churchill and return. I’m sure glad I made this trip before VIA added the ‘buffer car’ to the tail end!
