Comments on: VIA 84 stopped at Brantford for a crew change with P42DC 915, and 3 LRC coaches. Anybody in the know care to answer what made 84 detour over the Dundas/Oakville today?

3 pm or so. If they are on duty about 0500 they are quite close to 10 hours.

Actually it does not explain the crew change either? The crews can work at least 10 hrs. I am not sure what time the crew would be on duty but the train leaves Sarnia at 6:10. What time was the picture taken?

Mechanical failure. Note that 84 is on duty about 0500 at Sarnia thus the crew change.

Strange..VIA trains never change crews on short runs. Might have been a derailment or fatality.
