Comments on: VIA 919 leads train #72 over the bridge in Belle River, Ontario on one of the first VIA trains to run since the pipeline protests/blockades started over a week ago. 919 is running about 55mph at this time so it’s going to be a slow run to Toronto as they are apparently keeping speeds down for safety reasons until all of the blockades are down. http://www.railpictures.ca The BEST Canadian photos on the Internet, eh? Nice colour and composition. Interesting how the yellow horizontal stripe on 919 doesn’t quite match the yellow stripe on the business class car behind the locomotive . I have always enjoyed riding VIA trains into and out of Windsor, and well recognize the location of this picture.
