Comments on: Visiting the sprawling Symington Yards in Winnipeg many years ago on a most miserable rainy day (so what else is new?) I came away with the realization it was not an easy place to shoot. Sure, lots of GMD-1s around, and a handful of cab units, but I was pleased to see a couple of SW900 switchers. I did not recall seeing a 7600 series switcher before. Not many around either. Six of this series of nine (7600-7608) were renumbered to the 400s in 1979.

Ah, but Stuart; you should have seen the snowstorm that hit in foothills Alberta when I was coming home thru there on the 19th!!! Foot of snow, winter wonderland, and not a (bleep)in' train to be seen.
Winnipeg, well, rain. I expected it to be dreary. Its always dreary...but with mosquitoes.

This one is really terrific Arnold and thanks very much for posting it. From my CN log books, I worked with the 7600 in the May of 76 at Edmonton (also the 7601). We were using them for light switching duties at Calder's West tower. A nice stroll down memory lane. :-)
