Comments on: Wandering around the edge of Symington Yard many years ago I felt lucky to capture this GMD SW1200RS in the green and gold; a dress I never did see enough units in. This CN #1354, according to the Trackside Guide, was wrecked in 1983. I wonder how long it kept this gorgeous paint scheme?

I remember seeing 1387 in Sioux Lookout in May 1978. I also shot GMD1 1040 in Prince Albert in may 1981 and 1063 in Regina in August 1983, both in green and yellow.

Not sure about 1354, but there were a bunch out west based out of Edmonton that lasted into at least mid-late 1977 (if not longer) in the old colours: 1344, 1372, 1373, & 1379.
