Comments on: WC 6604, 6655, 3012 and 6506 are seen here at the west end of the yard at the great Wawa (Sinterville)Sinter Plant, enabling them to switch ore cars while at the facility. In the immediate foreground is Government Rd., which leads in from Wawa itself. I previously submitted an overview of the plant itself, photo #7796. Everything in the area, the operation itself, the huge plant, as well as the track for the whole subdivision was shut down and dismantled beginning not long after this photo was taken.

The trip is still worth it. Do the 'smaller circle route' from Sudbury over to SOO, north to Wawa, Hwy 101 to ONR land and back home. You may not see much activity, but you will see first hand the neglect of the North by the Ontario government of the South. Shameful and depressing. Looking for forward progress in the North is harder than finding a stray U-boat in Canada. No votes, no one cares. The trip would be tremendously educational, and the sheer size of our land; just this portion, is amazing.
