While it’s sad to see the end of an iconic Canadian locomotive, at least I only have to go as far as St. Jacobs to spend time with one. This day the excitement level was high on arrival at Hamilton yard, not only was there a pair of GMD1’s assigned to the yard but a GTW unit as well. The trio put on a good show in the yard this day and was probably one of my last shots of these old “prairie wanderers” in action. Thanks for the memories and the great photos!
