<title>Comments on: We knew the end of the GMD-1’s would come one day, just hoped it would not be so soon. Definitely have to be thankful they lasted as long as they did. I’m sure most crews do not share the railfans views as I always here’d they were very cramped inside. While it’s sad to see the end of an iconic Canadian locomotive, at least I only have to go as far as St. Jacobs to spend time with one. This day the excitement level was high on arrival at Hamilton yard, not only was there a pair of GMD1’s assigned to the yard but a GTW unit as well. The trio put on a good show in the yard this day and was probably one of my last shots of these old “prairie wanderers” in action. Thanks for the memories and the great photos!</title>
