Comments on: Well, it has been 5 days since the swarming horde of photographers, which I think must have outnumbered the mosquitos, descended upon the little town of Caledonia in order to catch that green BNSF on its run along the Hagersville sub. It almost appears everyone is waiting for someone else to post a photo to Railpictures. So I guess I will do the honours. For those who did not get to witness the action, here is BNSF 2098 and CN 9547 heading south over the Grand River bridge with a few empties to exchange for loads at the CGC (Gypsum plant) at 3rd Line. The train did not continue on to Hagersville, but this day rather just worked CGC and returned to Brantford, with 9547 in the lead. The whole line is 10 MPH which makes for an easy chase. CN #580 travels the line here on Mon-Wed-Fri, after 9 AM and before Noon.

Hah!!! With hip waders I would have been out in the middle of that shallow river. What a nice place to sit by the shores and watch the fishermen (fisherpeople?) and the birds. The bonus is a train crossing now and then.

Nice capture Arnold! This scene played itself out agin on Friday, June 23rd. Photographers were present from Buffalo and Oshawa to view a peaceful reflection and to observe the meet with CN 502 at Canadian Gypsum. Gotta luv 580 these days!
