<title>Comments on: Westward trains between Princeton and Merritt were at night for many years during high tonnage operation, but as traffic declined, operations were reorganized and provided daylight opportunities, allowing this Tuesday 1984-06-19 view at the Brookmere water tower of two GP38ACs where quartets of them had been common in days with heavier trains. Above the cab of 3001, note the roof of the relocated depot, previously situated about alongside the first carload of lumber. Since that photo, rails have been removed (1989) in favour of a rail trail, the depot was destroyed by fire, and the two-spouted water tower was relocated northward about 20 metres to GPS 49.81810, -120.87199.

Both locomotives survive today at 52 years since built, 3001 as maintenance of way power unit CP 403011, and 3002 as a regular roadswitcher.</title>
