Comments on: What I think is the West end of Milton, is CP 1095, a D-10h class 4-6-0 which survived the scrappers torch and rests in Kingston, Ontario. Besides the CPR’s Angus Shops D10′s 600-1111 (507 engs.) were built between 4/1907 and 12/1913 by CLC and MLW as well as Richmond.

Sub-class d, e and f had 22 1/2″ x 28″ cylinders, 180 lbs boiler pressure and 34,400 tractive effort.
All other sub-classes of D10′s had 21″ x 28″ cyl. 200 lbs. and 33,300 t.e. All have 63″ drivers.
Note: a, b, c and d sub-class (600′s and 700′s) built with Stephenson valve gear.

After researching this line (ongoing) for many years now, I can confirm #1095 did run into St Marys as there are several photos of it either at the water tank or being turned on the turntable on Apr 5, 1958.

I don't recognize the long building in the background though, so can't confirm the crossing location.

Very nice, but I think the location stated in the caption is wrong. If you look closely at the tail end, the last car looks like a CPR combine, not a van. If this is correct, then this is probably a mixed train, and the only mixed train on CPR Galt Sub was the St Mary’s mixed between Woodstock & Zorra. Believe D10 1095 may have been operating from Woodstock in the mid to late1950’s. Thanks for posting
