Comments on: What year is it? Take away the pickup truck and it could easily be 40 years ago, but it’s actually only 3 months ago on March 17, 2023.
The old station building, a couple of VIA blue and yellow passenger cars, and a string of Government of Canada cylindrical grain hoppers could all be seen in a similar photo snapped in the early 1980′s.
There’s so much railroading to see and photograph in The Pas that it warrants another trip back in the warm weather months sometime next year. :-)

The two passenger cars on the stub track at the south end of the station are two of the four ex-VIA, exx-CN passenger cars assigned to the Keewatin Railway Company Pukatawagan Mixed train.
On this day, only two cars were marshalled into 'The Mixed' and the two in the photo remained behind in The Pas.
The multi-coloured 1+1⁄2-storey brick station building was built in 1928. It was designated a historic site in 1992.

A great picture of a beautiful station,. What with the VIA blue coloured passengercars laying over in the background, it certainly looks like an active & busy station. Do you know when it was built ? Look forward to seeing more pictures from your planned return trip to The Pas. Thanks for posting, John
