<title>Comments on: Where the Belleville and Bala begin &amp; end.

Where Don station location has two mileages:

Mile 2.0, the CN Bala Subdivision.

Mile 209.6, the CP Rail Belleville Subdivision.

At left for the Belleville Subdivision, beside the phone boxes and the CP Rail &#8216;end CTC&#8217; vertical sign, is the CP Rail dispatcher controlled eastbound searchlights,

The westbound gantry signals for the Belleville Subdivision (signal #205) and southbound gantry signals for the Bala Subdivision (signal #206) are controlled by the Leverman at the Toronto Terminals Railway Cherry Street tower. At right, note the CN &#8216;end CTC&#8217; sign.

Passing under the Queen Street East bridge ( note the TTC overhead cantenary = Bruce), GMD 1954 built FP9A 6510 leads the daily VIA #9, the Toronto section of the Canadian Canadien, to a 19:50 arrival at CP Sudbury to join with Train #1 originating from Montreal CN Central station.
