Comments on: While fighting tourist traffic and hoping a train will roll thru Clifton Hill tourist area before the sun goes down was a real challenge. This particular night, even though I had to go with a shutter setting less than favourable due to night-time settling in; it was quite the High Time in the Town to catch a rare meet on Clifton Hill. Perfectly executed. After all, there is nowhere to ‘sit and wait’ and here we see C&O 4394 and 4404 westbound and C&O 4128 and 3562 about to converge on Clifton Hill and cause another massive snarl with their 10 MPH speed limit as they pass. In my opinion, a shot for the ages……….
Last CSX ran thru here in 1996, the last CP (or anything else) in 2001 and the line was pulled up shortly thereafter. The City of Niagara Falls had finally rid itself of an ongoing pain in the butt; and better, with land freed up, the Casino finally got to be built. Now very little remains to suggest there was once a railroad line thru here.

Thanks for that, SD!! It always somewhat of a wild time around Clifton Hill if you wanted to shoot any rail photos.

Perfect, Arn !
There were 3 Engineer trainees junior to me in 1980. Both trains look to have 3 in the cab, so either 2 trainees passing one another, or there's a Fireman on either crew.
CG-41 meets NI-42 at The Center.

Lets look at: 43.092 and -79.076. I have been laying off co-ordinates as of late because I am close to the 1000 allowed by my profile map.

I was there on Wednesday. I always look down the right of way when we cross, and you're absolutely right... it's getting harder and harder to tell the rail line was even there. I wish I had photographed some trains there! Another gem Mr. Mooney.
