Comments on: While GP38-2 3084 was not the star of the show, ( that tittle went to the two “F” unit’s ) I was more then happy to catch it leading to the trains overnight spot in downtown Guelph. This was the “Royal Canadian Pacific’s “ rare miles trip up the old Goderich subdivision from Hamilton to Guelph. At the wye in the cities east end the power was turned then headed to downtown for the night. In the morning the power ran around the train in the yard and made its way back east. Here the train sits alongside the river trail not far from where CP originally had its yard, station and freight house. All just a distant memory now.

CP 3084 sure gets around! I managed to snap her 25 months earlier on May 13, 2002, while working with CP in the resort town of Revelstoke, BC.
