<title>Comments on: Winter in the City.

Once upon a time one only traveled downtown to see the servicing of mainline passenger equipment.

The &#8216; Other &#8216; View from the Spadina Avenue bridge.

Often – likely mainly – overlooked was the area south of the CNR Spadina Roundhouse.

…..and for the modelers: what to do with that area behind the roundhouse&#8230;..

Here, the (ex) CNR Spadina Coach Yard Shop remains a busy place&#8230;.

&#8230;and steam (heat) still rules !

With &#8216; foreign &#8216; (ex CP Rail) passenger equipment.

And the Trackmobile is busy with a couple of Budd built (ex CP Rail) sleeping cars.

At immediate left the ex CP Rail Abbott Manor sleeping car is the second of two Manor sleepers – possibly part of the consist for Via Rail train #58 and the car next to the Baggage appears to be a (ex CN ) Dayniter providing the “ VIA 1 “ service on the Cavalier (Montreal overnight train).
