Comments on: Winter scenes have been few and far between so far in southern Ontario, but there was a stretch in mid-November when things got fairly cold. I was in Peterborough for work for a few days and took the opportunity to take in some of the sights of the Havelock and Nephton Subs, including this scene one Thursday night in Havelock. I am not even entirely sure what the story on this caboose is – some non-credible search results indicate it may be a tourist office, while another says small railway museum. If anyone knows for certain, I’d be curious to know.

My buddy is the one who painted it. CP was actually using it in the yard for a few years. When it came time to retire, it was donated to the lion's club and craned onto the track from the mainline.
