Comments on: Winter Wonderland

CP 119 is about 11 hours late as it moves through mile 1.6 of the North Toronto Sub at dusk through around 40cm of freshly fallen snow. Sitting on the south track is an outlawed 118 which tied down earlier in the day due to the crew running out of hours on their shift.

Liam, I was a driving instructor/class room teacher/special instructor with Young Drivers for 17 years, and still have my G licence, so can be a co-driver in better weather. You certainly are a trekker, getting there on the TTC - did you take the Rosedale bus to the foot bridge, or trudge down from St Clair & Mt Pleasant ? Your picture is all the more awesome knowing what you did to take it. John

G1 is beginners, G2 also has limitations. Full G is your full license
Signed, someone else going through the process right now.
Oh and nice shot Liam!

Kevin & John, thanks very much! To answer, that is indeed the MacLennan Ave. bridge in the background. The fence on the north side has basically been taken down by nature and left the photo angle open for shooting! As for having a car, I do not own one yet and only have a G1 license, had to rely on transit (which was a complete disaster) and about 4 hours of walking in the blizzard to get to and home from this area. Cheers!

Hi Liam, agree with Kevin, dramatic winter wonderland indeed ! Now where are you to get this great picture ? Is there a hole in the wire fence on the the north side of the North Toronto sub between the signal bridge and the Mt Pleasant underpass ? Is that the McLennan Ave pedestrian bridge in the background ? Thanks for navigating your car through the snow, and then trudging to line side, John
