Comments on: With Canada’s 150 Birthday only one day away I found this shot today at Streetsville Junction fitting. Here we find former SOO Line GP38 4434 nicely decorated with a Canada flag as the crew of T14 grabs the last car left by the OBRY. After a quick break the train will head back to Toronto yard.

It's sad to see Lambton and West Toronto yard now. My grandfather maintained steam engine for years in the shop there. Nothing much left there now. Miss watching the old "Roadrailer " being assembled there daily too.

I think saw somewhere there not using the other half of the Lambton yard. I suspect the yard will be ripped for (wait for it)....more condos!

I'm amazed to see the flag. After driving from Burlington Skyway all the way to Winston Churchill Blvd via Lakeshore Rd I was rather dismayed to see, with all those wealthy homes en route, only 14 residences that bothered to put flags out as of last night. I haven't a flag out either. Damn things are all made in China. But still, Happy 150th.
