Comments on: With roadslug CSXT 2218, GP40-2 CSXT 6943 and 6 cars, CSXT B763 is crossing the CSX/CN diamond at Cecile Jct on its way to terminating in nearby Beauharnois. The CSX tracks are likely to become CN’s once their acquisition of this line is finalized.

CSX had opened a new intermodal terminal in Valleyfield but never had plans to reach the island of Montreal. Yes, barring any regulatory issues CN will take over next spring.

I remember a few years ago there was talk of CSX building a mainline to Montreal to expand there network. I don’t know much about this but is CN acquiring that particular line? Thanks.
