Comments on: With the CPKC start up only days away I figured this would be the last time I’d get to catch the true CP TEC train in action. After missing the run from Hamilton to West Toronto hours earlier, luck was on my side as they ran backwards on track two to Streetsville, inspecting as they go. I believe from what I heard they inspected the remains of the old Owen Sound subdivision, which is basically a couple miles of track then returned to Toronto. The next day they headed for Montreal. The pile of old rails seemed fitting considering this is a rail inspection train.

A fabulous photo of the CP TEC train at work! I bet the diagnostic equipment technology, as well as the power and accommodation cars have changed dramatically since I was last on-board one of these train sets some 14 years ago on February 17, 2009 in Revelstoke, BC. :-)
