Comments on: Yeah, so I decide to shoot the Starlite off the hillside at the Royal Botanical Gardens for a change as it was not too much trouble fitting in 3 or 4 units. That is the time they have to send 6, and I cannot get a decent shot due to the angle and the brush, so grab this “going shot” with all the power and some of the fans and their cars in the scene. Such a gathering tells me it is a weekend. Consist is TH&B 77, 76, 73, 403, 53 and CP 8756. Another cruddy dull cold and miserable day, weatherwise.

Looks like a rail gang will be going through there shortly on all mainline tracks. 1979 was a very busy year for tie, rail, and ballast on the then CN Great Lakes Region.

One MLW
One Pontiac
One Chev
One Ford

and even better CP Rail allowed TH&B to retain it's identity

Not sure what's more eclectic; the collection of GM/MLW power or Detroit iron? (not an import in sight!!) Thinking No. 53 has a dragging brake on the radiator end.
