Comments on: Yet another place that just isn’t as exciting to railfan anymore. Today CN and CP go almost unnoticed in Niagara Falls. Both yards are abandoned and only CN runs thru trains through town these days. After ducking under CN 421 while on the QEW I decided to try to catch it in town. The advance signal for Clifton at the Dorchester Road crossing added an additional prop with its old searchlight heads. I didn’t realize at the time dead in transit Dash-8 2137 ex ATSF, was in third making one last trip to its final resting place in a scrap yard in Welland.

Great photo. It is always nice seeing signals. Those US&S searchlights are 50+ years old.
