Comments on: Zebra stripes on the head end of a passenger train at Bayview Jct. in January 1968. The old free, black and gold painted passenger cars are just about all gone with the exception of one close to the tail end. I started off being a fan of the F7 but soon developed a much better liking for the Alco/MLW FA series of cab units. Here, CN 6780, an FPA-4 with an FPB-4 trailing, head up the Dundas Sub at MP 0.02 at Bayview Jct.

The FPA-4's had much better lines for the 1961 scheme.

Quite a few are in preservation, thank goodness. The old green/black/gold scheme was the ticket.
