Possibly one of my favourite train consists: beyond the suburban development on a sunny late morning in July of 2008, we find ourselves posed amid the countryside on Mississauga Road for the coming of some Foreign Power goodies.

After VIA #85 rockets by with its usual F40PH + 2 Budds and stops at the Credit for a meet, CN #398 rolls into town with a colourful FPON lashup of epic proportions: a beat-up SD40-2W (CN 5248) leading a rebuilt Bessemer & Lake Erie Tunnel Motor (BLE SD40T-3 909) rarely seen in these parts, and two yellow UP units for good mix (UP SD60M 2401 and SD40-2 2972). The train is still clipping along, but will be slowing shortly for the red track flags and Rule 42 work limits up ahead. Unfortunately, an errant bush obscured a trailing shot of the backwards-facing 909. Eh tu mother nature.

The haul for the afternoon included VIA #85, CN #398, GO #266, CN #393, CN #422, CN #338, and GO #281, but we all know which one took the cake...
