STOP BEFORE CROSSING  is a suggestion usually ignored by the majority of drivers at rural railway grade crossings, sometimes with fatal consequence. Remaining pieces of a Dodge pickup lay scattered along the side of the road as a fresh reminder of what can happen when things don't go as planned. This was the sight of a collision earlier last week between the second locomotive of an eastbound CP much like this one. Luckily both occupants survived although quite shaken. Parts lay strewn over the area for about two hundred feet passed the sight of impact, yet still today I witnessed over a dozen vehicles blow right through this crossing without even a glance...
