First #122 glides past the CN Washago coaling tower onto the CN Newmarket Subdivision powered by ….strangers in an foreign land.....ex CP Rail FP9A's 1432 (ex 4041) – 1404 The 1979 re-routing moved the daily VIA transcontinental from CP Rail's Mactier subdivision to the CN Bala and Newmarket subdivisions. The Employee Timetable does not show this train. In the meantime – until the new Employee Timetable is in effect - First #122 is the re-routed eastbound Transcontinental acquiring those Green Flags at CN Washago for the trip south on the Newmarket Subdivision to Union.
