Caption: Impressive trio of new Mexican locomotives trailing 4 CNs; so impressive I missed the CN numbers...up front CN 9619, 9xxx,9663, 45xx and FCP 575, 573 and 574. These newbies were built by Bombardier, M424W models, for Ferrocarril Del Pacifico. The FCP was absorbed into NdeM in 1985; and these units delivered in blue/yellow instead of the NdeM red/green. The Farrocarrilles Nacionales de Mexico was state owned until 1998, then privatized and broken up. One must remember, this was the days before internet, and information was nowhere near as plentiful and available as it is today. Seeing these roll by was a complete shock.

I’d think it would be barely attainable, but there still is a clear shot of the train coming onto the Dundas Sub. at the Jct. It’s just now CN uses this once pleasant location as another spot to stash their clutter.
That’s something you don’t see everyday. Awesome.
Hmm, the 4500 looks like one of the wreck-rebuilt GP9′s that got a hood without DB. I think there were two, 4524 and another.
