The sun is already starting to set as GO train 207 leaves downtown Toronto behind, about to cross Strachan Avenue to head up the CN Weston Sub with a fully loaded (read standing room only) 10 car consist of Bilevels. Nearly new cab car 249 is rocking back and forth over the crossovers, e-bell ringing and ditch lights flashing, with F59 553 pushing lightly on the tail end, maintaining the 30mph speed restriction for the crossing before opening it up to 55.This area of Toronto is King St. West and Liberty Village, divided by the rail corridor that once serviced the many factories and industries on both sides. Condos, townhouses and loft conversions are the order of the day. To accommodate increased GO service and increased neighbourhood traffic due to development, this entire area of the corridor was lowered and the crossing eliminated in a flyunder underneath Strachan, nixing this convenient photo spot.
