A little help goes a long way The final run of 331 out of Port Rob came to abrupt stop after lifting Hamilton, the power having issues loading and getting the train restarted. The decision was made to send 551 out of Aldershot to assist and pull CN 331 all the way to Paris.

  1. So new fangled high tech power doesn’t always rule!!

  2. I don’t think 330/1 will stay gone for long…421/2 is way too long as it is, and adding more onto it might be problematic.

  3. Oh, CN will find a way. They did when they cancelled CN 338/339, which were even longer trains than 330/331 were as of late. I wouldn’t be surprised if CN adds a 233 or something to go along with 232, and both may run more frequently, as I see the problem as well. CN started running 231 frequently when 393 was cancelled.

  4. I thought it was the other way around. I thought 330/331 were cancelled to become 338/339.
