The race is on!! With both trains speeding towards a crew change at Kamloops, CP's Vancouver-Toronto hotshot 100-22 is seen at left while CN's Vancouver-Edmonton M31051 21 is seen at right. They're heading eastbound along the shores of the Thompson River just east of Ashcroft, BC.

  1. That is a cool picture!

  2. Nice. And a third ‘train’ at left at the terminal

  3. Is this a drone shot?

  4. @Doug, nope, I shot this from high up on a cliff.

  5. Wow! A van in the shot too!!

  6. Haven’t worked the CN Ashcroft sub since 2010 when did CP put that yard in, don’t remember it being there when I worked that area.

  7. Another fab shot by Mr. Stevens and yes, there is a CABOOSE in the Ashcroft Terminal, now a major employer in this area. The film companies love this part of B.C. for it’s diversity of topography and dry climate.Obviously it is also a wonderful spot to photograph trains.
