When the Montreal Urban Community took over operation of CN and CP's West Island commuter trains in 1982, CN's South Shore commuter train was not included. CN continued to run the train until September 9, 1988 when the service was discontinued. Compare this spring 1986 shot with Michael Berry's image 29003 (taken from opposite sides of the Lachine Canal).
