I did not take many shop photos but when I found this slide it has some interesting variety that some of you may enjoy. The 1268 switching with an open bi-level of Volkswagen autos is an eye opener. The F-units are the main feature and nicely parked where they could be easily photographed. The track work has really changed since this date. Engines are now serviced and made ready on a diagonal system of tracks where the 4372 sits.
The F-units are the 9167 and 9158.

  1. Thanks for the terrific response and comments. A whole roundhouse full of happy rail enthusiasts (myself included). :-)

  2. Everything in this shot is a good catch or better… even that rack of Audis and VW’s.

  3. Cool view!!!

  4. Thanks Paul and Marcus. :-)
I jotted down a list at the time of all the units I could see. The only GM road units missing that day were the B-units (including the painted window version) everything else was represented. Even a few fresh 1100′s and a GP9 rebuild 7003.

  5. Sweet consist!

  6. This is an awesome shot!!
