CPR G1-class "Pacific" 1201 is shown operating on an excursion at Maniwaki in 1982. One of the two initial G5 units built by the CPR at its own Angus shops (another 100 G5's followed, built by MLW & CLC), 1201 had been preserved and later restored to operation for a number of excursions in the 1970's and 1980's. It is presently stored out of service at the Canada Science & Technology Museum in Ottawa.
