During the first week of August, there was a work train spreading ballast in the Redwater area. After getting home from work and during eating supper, I could here rail activity downtown and went to investigate. The work train crew and section guys had tied up for beans in front of the Redwater Hotel, a favourite of theirs, also just across the street from the tracks. I took the opportunity to take a nose picture that would include the ballast cars, speeder and section building. Paired with the 9161 was the 4603 Fairview still in NAR paint. In another half hour or so the crews will return and finish the last bit of the days work before tying up for the night.

  1. Thanks very much fellows. :-)
I must add that the nose has been untouched. I cleaned the sky of dust tidbits and a very few obvious ones on the nose but otherwise that’s how this unit looked. Pretty darn clean. I have not checked, I would think it must be several years since the 9161 was painted. Amazing, even the yellow reflective stripe is intact.

  2. This is sweet

  3. Holy bleep. Wow.
