Built at the Canadian Vickers shipyard in Montreal, the MR-63 Metro cars faithfully served Montreal's Metro system from 1966 until June 2018, when the last ones were retired. This car was completely cleaned, sanded and repainted into its original 1966 colours at the STM Place D'Youville shops and was delivered to Exporail just this week. This car was the first one delivered and was also the one used for official photos featuring mayor Jean Drapeau and other dignitaries in August 1966, just before the Metro system opened to the public.
