On 6 July 1963, the UCRS sponsored an excursion from Toronto to Aurora (with two side trips to Bradford), coinciding with Aurora's centennial. The train is seen passing over the grade crossing at Strachan Avenue on the Brampton sub (the Weston and Halton subs not having yet been established)and still guarded by a crossing watchman's tower. Note the industries and service tracks (now long-gone), as well as the double track CP Galt sub in the foreground. Now which is more fascinating...the 6167 or the railroad scene some 55 years ago?
