To offer a contrast in views from Jason Noe's recent shot of a southbound heading into Aberdeen Yard, here is a view from the same bridge some 24 years later. The trains are on different tracks, of course, but you can see changes such as the double tracking and search lights. Quite a bit of vegetation has grown in too. This was a rolling meet between the southbound 246 and a rail train that had been setting off rail in the area all morning.

  1. Nice meet shot Jamie.

The area has certainly changed from 24 years ago!

  2. Nice catch and timing on that one! SDs on the rail train too!

  3. Very nice picture Jamie. Have never seen a meet at this location. Love the full green foliage contrast with CP red.
Who is moving and who is standing still ?

  4. Thanks all.

They were both moving at the time. 246 was rolling steady southbound, and the rail train was creeping along.
