551 is working off the north track of the Grismby Sub, having just spotted two boxcars at Pearce Warehousing (pictured at left) and is proceeding back out to the main where they will tie onto their train and head to Stuart for lunch. Just before, they had lifted the one boxcar pictured. Earlier in the evening, after setting off a few coils and one gon in Stuart, they had been working off the south track, lifting the pictured flat from somewhere (I believe Paddock Transport) and spotting two loaded centrebeams and lifting the one empty centrebeam from Bartram. After the lift at Bartram, they ran light power eastward out to Nelles where the crossed over the north track and proceeded back west to run around their train to allow them to work the off the north. This work was more recently handled by 555 at night, though I have seen the occassional Hamilton yard job at Pearce. Since 555 was shifted from being based in Hamilton to based in Aldershot and using 570's power, 551 has been serving the customers on the Grimsby Sub east of Parkdale Yard twice weekly. Should make for some nice shooting this Spring and Summer.

  1. I’ve watched this job and talked to the conductor. Almost moved up the street.
