Second section of train no. 2 with engine 2707 at Harrison tunnels.  Engineer is waving at my uncle you can see crouched on the rocks near the tunnel.

In 1946 to 1949, my uncle Joe and my father Andy went railfanning together.  They called it "chasing trains".  My dad took the still pictures you see here and my uncle took movies with the family Bell and Howell 16mm movie camera.  It is a wind up camera and takes 16 frames/second.  You can find the videos by googling "youtube smokeywoodstover joe morin".  My uncle did not film any engines sitting around the shops, he only did action shots of trains passing and from the moving trains.
