  2. Like the 80′s, when it was very common to see a CP SD40-2 on the lead of the Canadian west of Calgary.

  3. Beauty shot. I am sure that no time was made up on the journey as the train is now limited to 65mph with the freight unit.

  4. Barring the time lost to troubleshooting the initial problems with the units and then getting this one put on, I think it would make up or at least keep it from losing any more time. There’s so much time in this current schedule now. Having a freight unit leading all the way from Vancouver wouldn’t hurt its on-time performance. Leave that up to CN or other bad decision making.
